hi there im 17 weeks 2mor and just wondering if it is normal to have sore nipples mostly all of the time been having it on and off for the past week please help thanks from gina

Hi gina~~~ Listen, I had pains in my entire breasts. they felt like someone was sticking knives in them. It's completly normal.They may even turn darker in color and you may be able to see the veins more. Try getting a snug fitting bra, that's a must have! I tried not to move really fast. SOunds funny but if I did it would just hurt soo bad! try taking a warm shower.

Mine was so bad that even if the shower water hit my breasts I was in pain! Sometimes I would cross my arms across my chest out of habit and nearly cry from the pain! It is very normal. For relief, try putting cold packs on them and try not wearing a bra. I got one of the sleep bra's from Motherhood Maternity and wore that until they weren't so sore. I am now 22 weeks and they don't hurt at all! Good Luck!

It is perfectly normal and you'll find they'll probably be quite swollen too for the rest of the pregnancy. I couldn't even stand the shower spray to go on mine at times! You may notice that the veins on your breasts become more visible too. I think the boob swelling is what a lot of men like about the pregnant physique, but unfortunately, you usually feel like "Look, but don't DARE touch!" It will go eventually! Good luck!

I think it is pretty normal. That was actually one of the first clues I was pregnant. Sore breasts come with the territory.

my wife has gone through this since she was 16wks pregnant and she is now 36wks. she suggests that you buy nipple cream and try wearing a soft cotton bra. Its nothing to worry about, its just the downside of pregnancy. take care

very normal.....you can have sensitive breasts all the way through...or it can stop and start again....usually around the end they start to get tender...well actually around the end you might get sore breasts....sore hips....legs....well everything hurts a little...and make sure you rest in your last weeks....you will need it.....good luck....
