No!
I just had blood drawn an hour ago - it doesn't affect the baby at all.
I'm 20 weeks pregnant, and this is my 2nd testing - well, this one today was an emergency, but no, it doesn't hurt the baby.

Blood tests are routinely taken in pregnancy to check on the well being of your wife and baby. I had several throughout my pregnancy and have a healthy happy 6.5 month old daughter now. The amount of blood they draw/take is minimal compared to the amount in your body. If you are ever concerned about issues such as these your friendly doctor/midwife/care provider can answer these questions for you

I understand feeling concerned about all the blood that needs to be drawn! It is actually very helpful in diagnosing different disorders that the baby could have ( not that the baby does) and also checks iron levels in the blood stream. I had very low iron levels so i had to eat more meat and such which helped me and the baby.
also, on a side note, do research on the immunization shots for your child when he or she is born. they have been linked to autism because of the high levels of mercury. Ask for no mercury shots because it is safer for the baby. it is something that no one told me about until later on and it is something worth looking into. I have a 3 month old.
congrats!!!

No, and that is because the normal volume of blood is aproxmately 1.5 liters, so 10 ml or a little more did not afect the ability of your wife to give oxygen to the baby.

It's fine. They are only drawing a small amount of blood, not nearly enough to compromise your baby's oxygen supply.
OBs draw blood for various reasons all throughout pregnancy. They wouldn't do it if it was dangerous!

No. It's standard precedure to get blood tests to make sure the mother is healthy. So the baby can also be healthy. Relax. And good luck.
