I need to send my grandparents a thank you note, usually I use premade cards and envelopes but I ran out....I don't want to just print one from the computer but all I really have is computer paper and some colored markers...but I'm 20 years old so I think I'm a little old to do all these colors and pictures on it haha, I don't have any colored ink left either....any ideas?

even computer paper and felt markers can make a card they will love better than a store bought!!! Look thru magazines for clipart type pictures, pick a theme, you will need some glue or double sided tape. have fun and no matter what you make, they will love it because it came from the heart, not the store.

nothing says thankyou with a card made with flower pressed inside or on the front of the card and use stencils or letter stickers to express your words. You are never too old to use those things, I'm 22 years old and I make my cards homemade sometimes i make it out of wood, paper, crafts, or food (bake something really good) and send it over, they know that you appreciate what they did for you. It 's the thought that counts not the gift.

How about something like a mini collage.

or

You could do black and white, quick, prints of pictures of things you think they would like.... a plant, a porch swing... things like that.

Color them with marker and cut them out. use a small tab of paper folded in half to make a kind of hinge. Tape one end to the card and the other end to the picture making it kind of float (but not really) and there's your card...

Go thru the magazines you've read, and cut out pretty pictures. Glue these on. Maybe you can find the words Thank and You in a magazine or junk mail. I even find nice pictures in junk mail. There's no age limit on coloring:)

You can purchase some card stock paper in a craft store or Wal-Mart. Purchase some color scrapbooking papers. You need clues, stencils, colored pens. And you ready to go to create your own special card.

here is a website.

When it comes to grandparents...the best thank you note would be one personally made with photos included. Find pics of you and them throughout your life. Find a piece of cardboard, wrap it in fabric. Seal the loose fabric with ribbon and fabric tack. Use scrapbooking items to add flair to your board. Include pics and short notes to them all over. I have done this for years for my grandma, and everytime she gets a new one she is soooo happy. It mean alot to them to see you put thought and effort into it.
