Well I think it has to be addressed somewhat b/c of the odds. It's not talked about with white coaches b/c about 26 teams in the NFL have white head coaches so it's what's to be expected. There are only about 4-5 black head coaches in the league so the odds are truly stacked. If it were really equal then 1/2 the coaches would be black, the other 1/2 would be white. Then there would be no issue to discuss.

How long has professional football been a sport? To say that the first black coach taking his team to the SB isn't a big deal, is just plain ignorant. Will thay make a big deal if Hillary wins. OF COURSE! Same as Obama. As raciest and sexiest as our society still is, it is a huge deal. I'm not black but I can see exactly why it is a big deal. How many black coaches have there been in NFL history? And not 1 but 2 are going. Congratulations 2 both coaches.

I agree with J D. The journalists are making too much of a deal about it. They try to pay black people respect and they just put down white people while theyre at it. They are two great coaches. Just leave it at that.

They are making too big of a deal out of it. But thats the society we live in. You may think race isn't an issue anymore, but to minorities it is.
BTW, guess who keeps bringing it up? "THEY" are the jounalists... who are, the last time I checked mostly White. Be mad at them.
Lets just play football

No they aren't making too much of a big deal about it. Look at how long the NFL has existed, how many years black players have made up a majority of its players while black coaches are still a minority. We're watching history being made. And if "they" are making too much of it, look at who "they" are. The "they" you speak of are white journalists. You do the math...
