Georgie and bones have the right idea. Im 19 and have lived 5 minutes outside of Detriot for nearly my whole life. Ive been a fan since Bobby Higginson was an up and coming so-called hero. I remember going to Tiger Stadium a good handful of times and watch them beat the Yankees every once in a while even though we couldn't beat anyone else. This past summer if I was bored, I'd call my friend Neil and we go to a game, and we must have done that 8 or 9 times. I remember in May when the Tigers won a game that put their record as the best in baseball and I was estatic for that whole week. Neil and I would keep track of the Tigers through the huge loss season and we, oddly enough, became even bigger fans after that. I'm just glad to see that there are other people out there who have been fans through the hard times and are now getting their rewards.

I don't have a list, but the Tigers are probably somewhere in the middle when it comes to my favorite teams.
But I am an absolute die-hard Red Sox fan, through and through. I have always been a Sox fanatic, felt the heartbreak of '03--I know what it means to love a team seemingly doomed. True, the Sox has better luck than the Tigers in recent years, but the disappointment was bitter. 2004 finally was "next year," and I rejoiced with the whole of Red Sox nation, so I understood the excitement coming from Detroit and Tigers fans everywhere in 2006.

I have been a Tigers fan since I was born in that magic year of 84. I use to live about 30 miles from Tigers Staduim and my father bought seasons tickets for years. I was there for so many great memories, propably 15 opening days, Fielder, Micky Tedelton, and Robert Fick hitting it over the roof. Trammels last game, the last game at Tiger Staduim (I was about 15, and both my father and I teared) and the first at comerica when it was about 10 degrees, snowing, and half the people left after 4 innings. Mt picture is actually in a Tigers Book called Corner To Copa. I remember going to Tiger Staduim when the Indians would come in and one year we swept them! But one thing is I always remembered us sucking. But when Dombrowski took over and brought Pudge, and then Leyland I knew we were going places. I got to see Kenny shut down the Yanks in Detroit, and Mags hit the ALCS winning homerun in person. Oh and the All Star game two years ago, funny everyone was booing Kenny Rodgers that night, though he was wearing a Texas jersey! HA. Well theres one fan for you!

Does Dean Palmer ring a bell?
Bobby Higginson (and his nasty vicious attitude) ring a bell?
Or how about when Phil Gardner was the manager, and he let the players do whatever they wanted---with no respect for them or the fans?
Or how about the 7 years Randy Smith was the General Manager and traded away any decent talent The Tigers did have?
Through all that crap I remained loyal because I knew, somehow, someway, The Tigers would return to respectability.

I am a die hard Texas Rangers fan. We've only made the playoffs 3 times in our history. There are some die hard fans but I think they are a dieing breed.
