Gout is caused by uric acid in the body.
the solution is to drink more fluids and flush the kidneys so the body can get rid of the acid.
if this does not help in a day or so; go to the doctor. there may be a problem with the kidneys.
We are supposed to drink 1/2 a gallon of water a day. Most people do not drink more than half that amount.

Gout is a condition where uric acid crystals build up in the body.
This can happen in the area of the big toe and cause a lot of pain.
Our foods contain purines; some foods are higher in this than others.
The doctor may place you on a lower purine diet (of which they will usually provide you a list of foods to avoid. There is also medications that can lower the uric acid in the blood
Here an alternative way to cure gout?

Gout is a serious condition and I suggest you and your friend read the following information. I don't think that taking pills is the answer nor is natural remedies. I think you should drink and eat foods to help with the circumstances. If you do all you can do to help yourself then go for additional things to help. There are many sites for herbel remedies, but do you trust them? Get to the real problem.

Gout is caused by the build up uric acid crystals under the skin or near joints.'In Central and South America's they use an herb called Chanca Piedra, which means in Spanish "Stone Breaker". This herb breaks down the crystals that have built up near the joint(s). This herb also has a diuretic effect which helps expels the crystals. I have tried myself for Kidney Stones (same build up of uric acid crystals in the kidney) and felt relief with in 10 hours.
So Chanca Piedra would be the herbal way to go.

Give clay a try. You can find it at www.clayforlife.com
It definitely works for eliminating all toxins from your body and solves the problems caused by uric acid crystals.
You should know that kidney stones are more frequent in patients with gout; clay is known to also eliminate kidney stones within a couple of days.
Uric acid crystals can form outside joints. Collections of these crystals, known as tophi, can be found in the earlobe, elbow, and Achilles tendon (back of the ankle). Good luck!

Hi!
Gout is a condition characterized by severe attacks of inflammation in single joints, which come on suddenly (acutely) and rapidly reach a peak of extremely severe pain and then subside. Characteristically, a further attack occurs after a variable period, usually of months or years, usually affecting a different joint, particularly of the lower limb. If gout is not treated, the periods between the attacks become shorter and last longer as the years go by. This will cause the condition to worsen and affect other joints of your body. There are a lot of methods that you can use to cure gout, including using natural remedies.
One of the effective ways to cure gout is by using cherries or cheery juice. Cherries are known for their anti-inflammatory properties may help reduce the amount of uric acid in the body and keep it from settling into joints which will cause the pain of gout. You can use canned cherries or fresh cherries and it does not matter if you use sour or sweet cherries. All cherries have been reported to be a natural gout cure. The recommended amount of cherries to consume a day is between ten cherries and up to one half pound. There are others who prefer to use cherry juice concentrate (1 tablespoon per day) and it is also effective in curing gout.
Diet is important and can be used as a natural gout cure as well. Purines consumed in the diet account for about 50% of the uric acid produced in the body. Therefore, a low purine or modified purine diet may help gout improve and prevent future gout attacks. A low purine diet consists of eliminating the following high purine foods from the diet: organ meats, sweetbreads, brains, kidney, meat gravies, meat extracts, scallops, wild game, mackerel, herring, anchovies and sardines. In addition, only one serving of the following foods are allowed per day in a low purine diet: dried beans and peas, asparagus, cauliflower, spinach, mushrooms, poultry, meat or fish.
