How about "Baba O'Reilly" by The Who?

"Teenage Waste-Land!"

OK, here's a more recent tune that pretty much captures the essence of rock and roll:

"Welcome to the Jungle" -- Guns n' Roses

i love rock and roll of course! LOL i really have no clue, but that song does make sense doesn't it? besides, im more of a pop-rock person and alternative rock person, regular rock is awesome, too

There are so many potential choices here....

Eddie Cochran's Summertime Blues perfectly catches teen angst while still being fun....

I Fought the Law....contains everything about rock....the protest...the ultimate surrender...

Cheap Trick's Surrender.......see above.....your parents seem a little weird, but really they're just older and your parents....

The Ramones.....Blitzkrieg Bop....AY! Oh! Let's Go! what more needs be said?
