Work shift 9-close? but they usually close at 9?

Ok... so here's the question...
I work 9pm- close but they usually close at 9 and there's no event going on tonight (so it wouldnt be later than 9). And when we work shifts the minimum hour is 3 hours. so that would mean I have to work 9-12... but I think its closing at 9... so did they just scedual me for cleaning up or what?

I work at a cafeteria area inside a school pub. the pub usually closes at 9pm unless its a thursday. today's a monday.
