i know all these people butnever really hang out with them but starting feb 1st i'm gonna be so bold and outgoing i'll just ask for their number and talk to them and say hey let's hang out sometime....but i'm afraid of rejection...how to do this??

I think if I were in your position I would just ask for their number str8 up. Seriously what have you got to lose? If you have known them for the longest and hung out with them several times getting their number should not be hard to do. Just let them know that you would like their number so you can call them sometime in case you find something fun to do or if you need someone to talk to they'll be the first you go to.

If you show genuine interest in these people and ask them questions about themselves (but not too deep and emotional), then when you ask for their number and suggest hanging out with them, they will probably be thrilled.
Just one further tip, make sure that you really like the people that you suggest to hang out with.

Gradually. Start small. At a big party, don't be too wild! Just fun, funny, clever, and cute. And hold your own. Then ask for their number. I used to be so shy, but I kinda did something like you are going to do, and I'm so different! Good luck to you!

do not be worried about rejection because if the person you talk to is woeth being a friend they will wxcept your friendship and if they reject the idea then that person is not even worth your time.
