And if you don't know what I'm talking about, you need to open your eyes and start looking around. Everyone wants a new law to 'protect' them from someone doing something else. People accept the Patriot act without arguing. We are loosing our personal freedoms to 'security' and political correctness. How can anyone possibly justify this?

I just asked this question before and the answers I got were feeble minded. I hope you get a better group than I did. I think people are lazy in general,at times so am I. We are all so busy being tricked and lied to that we get emotional and confused and our enemies depend on that. Our government officials all agree that we have all had it way too easy? And that we should be controlled? How do you like those apples? They should talk? Riding around in Mercedes Limos? Getting millions in pensions?
They pay no taxes compared to us and pay no Social Security?
They have the options to feel sorry for the immigrants because they look down from those Ivory towers, and it is easier for the rich to apply pity, and empathy because they have it all. The scraps the hard working people are taking from their lavish tables is deplorable while they go and give it away to others. We are now the step-children and beaten up everyday. Adopting foreign kids from 3rd world countries? Sending our money there? That is so selfish that money spent could help us as a people to get stronger and then we could afford to help others. But not now they got it all including the Control to put us all down in a gutter. The Patriot Act should be eliminated completely and the immigration laws should be changed immediately. Close our borders and Embargo on!

One step beyond that why in this high-tech time do we need representative government with the power/trust role they have! I am willing to take the responsibility of total rule & control by legal majority of the citizens or a true democracy! Of the people etc---------- thats NOT whats going on in government anywhere at any level in this country now.

I can't justify it, and I agree with you 100%...go to petitionsite.org and sign a petition related to that, I did. As Ben Franklin so eloquently put it...They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.
I don't know when the American people will wake up?!
