The replacements you have are the wrong design. Take the original with you and match the replacement with the core.

When the gearbox is apart from the engine slide the release bearing onto the spigot-shaft and fit it to the fork when you have fitted the gearbox back to the engine then push the bearing into the preasure plate that should work .REMEMBER DO NOT FIT THE BEARING TO THE PREASURE PLATE BEFORE YOU FIT IT TO THE FLYWHEEL

You have the wrong parts! Bring back to where you bought it and give them the correct make and model car including reg and year of manufacture.
If you don't know what you are doing even with the correct parts, then you are silly even to attempt to complete the job yourself!
Find a mechanic or you will end up having to pay up to triple the cost of the replacement clutch.
Is it really worth doing that?????

You've got the wrong type clutch.Take the old one with you to the supplier to match it.When refitting make sure the bearing is in the correct position and make sure the release lever is basically pointing toward the bearing. As you mate the g/box to the engine rotate the release shaft so it 'hooks' into the bearing.
& yes it can be as fiddly as it sounds!
Hope this helps.

I was totally lost with a clutch once. It was the worst day of my life. The clutch was absolutely useless...couldn't read, write or use a mobile phone. And don't get me started on its map reading ability...it must have been female.

Next time I plan on taking a door so I can wind the window down and get a cool breeze.

Sounds like you should have enlisted the help of a real certified mechanic, instead of trying to be a "do it yourselfer" this time.Your lack of knowledge here could end up costing you more money than if you had gone to licensed mechanic. And no, I'm not a mechanic.

Take your car to a garage where they know what to do.

You are putting someone out of a job.

Hmm.... why would you want to drive a Renault Safrane anyway.

i don't know what you have in Your hand.

there should be three pieces,
throw out bearing
pilot bearing
throw out bearing holder.

the throw out bearing and holder goes to the tranny stem or spline.
the pilot bearing goes to the center of the flywheel.(remove the old one)
don't forget to center the fiction plate before torquing the pressure plate.

you have the wrong one, take it back and bring the old one with you to enable the parts guy to get the correct one ordered
