I've been calling health centers and no one picks up their damn phones. What happens if I missed the second dose of the emergency contraceptive and can't find it? How effective was the first dose and how likely is pregnancy if I only took the first dose?

I took the pill about 3-4 hours after unprotected sex.

Hi

The emergency contraceptive is usually just a double dose of the normal contraceptive pill. Goodluck.

Have you called Planned Parenthood?
1-800-230-PLAN

Have you called your local pharmacy and asked to speak to a pharmacist?

Also, insertion of an IUD is more effective than the morning after pill and is effective up to 5 days later.

So you can take a pill after unprotected sex, but you can't use a condom or get other forms of birth control that doesn't kill a baby?
