Kakashi is my all time fave and then my next two are Shikamaru and Hinata. Then The class clown Naruto.

Rock Lee. He may loose a lot but thats because he doesn't have special powers like the other ninjas do (ie naruto shadow clone, gaara sand sauske sharingan). Yet despite this incredilbe disadvantage he holds his own. I mean could you last as long as Lee did against Gaara? I don't think so. Think about this. A lot of people say Sasuke is the strongest. However Rock Lee beat Sasuke quite easily (of course Sasuke was weaker). Both Rock Lee and Sauke then fought Gaara. Sasuke used his Chidori several times against Gaara and it proved useless.The result was that Gaara was much stronger than Sasuke. Rock Lee also lost to Gaara but he could have won. If Rock Lee's Ura Renge had succeeded he would have killed Gaara. Sasuke didn't mess up on the Chidori , it was an ineffective move. Also Rock Lee is still the fastest character aside from maybe Neji. Rock Lee is still faster than Sasuke because Sasuke cannot use the Sharingan on Lee to copy the Gates because the Gates are too fast. Sasuke can only go as fast as Lee without weights and even then his body is not used to the strain it puts on him. I can't say for sure who would win Neji or Rock Lee because I think they are about equal in fighting ability. Neji may have the byukagen but it is useless against the Ura Renge because it is so fast it cannot be seen. Still the battle is undecided in the winner.
The next best character is Shikamaru. This is because he is the smartest and his shadow bind is one of the most strategic moves. If Shikamaru and Rock Lee fought together they would be unstoppable because Shikamaru would capture the opponent and Lee would beat the unholy crap out of them.
So the answer is really a combo of Lee and Shikamaru

That’s impossible to answer. There are so many good characters. Each character has something that makes them special. I can give you my favorite’s list and why.

•Naruto- he is funny, charming, and has a very good personality. He is a person you can easily become friends with. Naruto can keep you laughing so much. You’ll never get bored with him around. He can be dumb most of the time. But he will be there when you need him the most. He never backs on his words or promises. Naruto besome really strong, even stronger than saskue. In the futre episodes.
•Saskue- a cool, hot looking guy. A darker personality, the complete oppsote of Naruto, he will keeps the balance between you loseing your insanity to Naruto, if you where his friend. Saskue is also a guy, you can stare at for hours. Hey is super hot. One of the hottest guy’s in the entire series. To bad he turns evil. Thank’s a lot Orchimaru.
• Hinata- a sweet, kind shy girl. You’ll defiantly want her by your side. She a very thoughtful person. When your sick, she’ll try to confort you or give you medicine. She really cute to. With hinata you will never feel left out or lonely.
•Gaara- the lone wolf. A gut most are afraid. I belive other wise. Gaara has a very kind compasinate heart. He became the way he is because nobody wanted him. Gaara all he need’s is to feel loved. Gaara has a beautiful smile too. Wait till you see him as a kid. He turn’s good. In the future. Even has some fan girls in the seris. He becomes the kazegage.

Of course Naruto, the number one hyperactive ninja... and maybe sometimes Sasuke, I would say Sakura but she's never really fighting, also Kakashi and Rock Lee, and for some wierd reason Gaara and I guess I can't really decide who's the best overall character because they all have their moments.

Hinata, gaara, and Lee.

reasons:
Hinata- she is really quiet and shy. She tries as hard as she can to become a better ninga so her father will be proud of her and live up to the Hyuuga's name. She doesn't give up and wants to proud of herself.

Garaa- A boy who never understood the meaning of love. Everybody hated him back when he was young and his father sent assasins to kill him when he was six because the monster inside of him was unstable and couldn't be controlled. He thught that his uncle, Yashimaru, had loved him but finds out that Yashimaru had always hated him because Garaa killed his sister. He became a guy who loved death and nevers laugh or smiles (sanely) but was always misunderstood in the inside wanted to be loved. That all changed after he met naruto and lee and became the kazekage.

Lee- Lee has no chakra control whatsoever and cannot perform genjutsu or ninjutsu and was often teased in school and his teachers back in the acamedy thought that he was never become a good ninja. He works hard to master his taijutsu with the help of Gai, his current teacher. His rival is Neji (who I also adore!) who is a genius and Lee believes that hard work will beat talent.

Probably Naruto or Sasuke is the strongest.. Though me, personally, think Nejis the strongest cause of his Byakugan and the Chakra releasing thingys and the Eight Trigram: Divine 128 Strikes

Orochimaru, because he disguses as Micheal Jackson. And molested Sasuke, he seems pretty good at it. lol..joking My favorite Character is Deidara because he says yeah a lot so do I....yeah! ^_^
