Ok, i recently did like 2 system restores, thinking that they meant no harm. A few days later, i noticed a small increase of used GB in my hard drive. So i tested it out, thinking it was the System restore. And it was, so every time i did a system restore, more data was added to my computer. I tried undoing my restores but that didn't work either. Im not sure what to do now, my laptop has more than 3/4 of its GB taken u =( i dont kno how to delete the files i dont want or nething because the files i dont want, i cant find since i undid my system restore. What should i do??? I was thinking of formatting....

OK - IF your computer is running well and it's booting with no problems - right mouse button click on C drive in my computer and run Disk Cleanup - only before you say OK to start the cleanup, there is an MORE OPTIONS tab - look at the LAST ITEM.... "Remove ALL but the last restore point".

That means you're computer will NOT have more than the LAST restore point - so make sure you're computer is booting properly or there'll be nothing to go back to. It will free up all the hard drive space that restore is using.

In administrative programs, there also is a control on restore that allows you to use a little slide to allow so much space on your computer be used for restore points. You can always lower the slider if it's using too much space.

You can reclaim the space by turning off System Restore and then turning it back on to clear the SR space.
