molly b is correct. cant get a false positive. the planned parenthood test is the same pee test u take at home, dont let the people in the lab coats fool u. conduct urself as if ur preggo (no playing rugby or getting into drinking contests with sailors) until u can get a blood confirmation. call up planned parenthood again and get info on how to get a blood test thru maybe the health department (assuming u dont have a physican thats y u went to p.phood.). im not sure if its the health dept. or family services but they are there to help.

That is highly unusual. Planned Parenthood claims that their tests are just like over the counter. If you are coming up positive on over the counter tests I would say that you are pregnant. I have never heard of a false positive on a over the counter pregnancy test, as they detect a hormone that is only in your body if you are pregnant. I have had tests come up with a false negative before though. Perhaps you should try a different branch or another clinic(try Visiting nurses association clinics, or your local hospital clinic) or doctor. If the second doctor's test comes up negative, you should ask the doctor to do a physical palpation of your abdomen. This is very similar to when you have your annual and the doc checks your ovaries. Most experienced doctors will be able to tell if you are pregnant or not and approximately how far you are with this method. If you are not pregnant, you will need to discuss the issue that is causing you to come up positive and how to find and fix that issue. I would say you are pregnant, but I'm no doctor, just a mom with a gang of kids :) Good Luck

I am reading a book, The Pact, by Jodi Picoult.
This girl goes to a planned parenthood center and they say that the tests there are a lot more accurate and 100% correct.
The at home-ones can lie or be faulty.
However, considering how many tries at the home ones, I would go back to a planned parenthood center, but a different one.

You can't have a false posotive on your test, but you can have a false negative. I would take one more at home and see what it says, and if it says your are pregnant, then go somewhere else to get that comfirmation.

The negative one was probably a false negative. That happens. You won't get a false positive, though.
