I'm looking for a site (whether local or international) where unsigned or up-and-coming musicians could use as a platform to either gain exposure and recognition or simply to just start their own fan-base. Where they could also post their profile (something like myspace) and also upload their original songs for others to listen and rate. Where there's also like a forum where aspiring musicians/bands could start their networkings, music-wise. Are there such sites? If so, could you guys recommend some

Well, your best bet is through Myspace.com. Right now that is the best platform for up and coming and unsigned bands.
You can also try PureVolume.com, artistdirect.com, or ubl.com.
But as someone in the music industry who represents artists, I highly recommend to start off with Myspace.com to build a fan base.

i'm no longer a musician, yet! i'd be happy to critique! I loved Beets are the recent Carrots, even though it actually is rather the creepy music! @Onehep i appreciate a number of your songs! Lo-fi= allure! @RJ I nonetheless love your stuff, even though it scares the sh*t out of me every time I turn it on. @Beni I agree, Grotto Blues turned right into a good music!

make a music myspace. add loads of ppl. spam the forums with ads.
