NO, No, No, and NO. It causes so much grief and lets face it they are not players nor do many understand the inner workings of footballing organizations. They have no regard for the rules and laws set down by the various footballing bodies and are not there with the sport as their priorities. I would think running countries is a hard enough job. That's what they do and what they should stick to.

Hell NO!!! Cuz if politicians had influence over footy, where would the spirit of play and beauty of the game go? I'm not being dramatic or sensible, it's just what I think! Footy wouldn't be footy and all the stadiums would be empty! And instead of having footy games in world cups, there would be bloody battles and wars!!!

I was going to give you an honest answer until I read you last question in the details! It is conservatives who let politicians off the hook! Do you think it's all right conservative/republicans helped Bush cover up his dereliction of duty prior to 9/11/2001?All the 911 commission was was white wash to do so!The republican Congress of the time gave limited time and money to them to do the investigation into the worst terrorist attack ever on American citizens on American soil!Yet when they investigated Clinton about White Water they gave Ken Starr unlimited time and money! What does that say about the republicans? Should I bring up how they covered up for Mark Foley? He chased underage male senate pages for years with the republicans hiding it until the media brought it out! Then they threw him under the bus of public opinion!

Soccer is an art and the only people who can have influence over it is great players.

They kind of do already when it comes to building stadia at taxpayers's cost. But if you're talking about a team in itself, no, not one bit.
