If all you need is your ID back, go to the DMV and fill out the application for a duplicate to be sent to you - check the lost or stolen box.
If someone found your wallet and wanted to return it to you, then you would probably would have received it back immediately - they would have your address. You could post ads in Craigslist or on posts in the area, but I'm afraid you'll have to expect that the wallet will never find its way back to you.

Call your credit card companies and tell them to stop all activity on your cards and issue new ones. Go down to registries and get some new id. Kiss your wallet, cash and photos goodbye. Sorry, but the chances are slim. You could call police stations and tell them your story, see if one shows up.
