Illegal immigration. It needs to be stopped, and our current laws need to be enforced. We need to start taking care of our own people, and we'd have the money to do it if we weren't supporting millions of illegals.

Healthcare reform.

I don't disagree with socialized medicine, but I think that here, there should be complete insurance coverage available to people who don't work full time jobs, but without having to pay more than full-time workers.

A lot of places will keep employees just below the full-time threshold so that they don't have to extend benefit coverage. This means that there a lot of hard-working people who have a job that pays a living wage, but can't get insurance. That kind of crap needs to stop. Also, a lot of young people and single mothers have to work multiple part time jobs, so they're working 40 or even 50 hours a week, but they have no hope of benefits.

I've been lucky enough to always be insured, but there was a time when I didn't think I would be, and insurance was nearly twice as much to go outside my employer.

For me, healthcare is the most important problem facing our nation. In order to have a productive workforce they must first be healthy. I'm by no means a free universal healthcare advocate, but i do think our government could much more attention to matters of public health, especially those that affect primarily the lower class.

I would like to see a revised, truly progressive tax code with many tax rates. I would like to see significantly higher taxes on high earners, and almost confiscatory rates on the super-rich.

Back in the '50s the top rate was 91%. There were lots of very rich people, and it was the 'golden" decade after the war. We were building schools, hospitals, interstate hwys, fighting the cold war, funding the GI Bill, and so many other things.

It's time to do it again.

The media is corporate owned and will NEVER cover a story that effects them, either personally or professionally.

Education reform. Get rid of no child left behind. It is strangling our school districts. Lowering interest rates is a good start. I'd like to see increased government grants for higher education and programs paying for education in much needed disciplines like arabic language studies, conflict resolution, terrorism and science.

Domestic job creation. America must manufacture things again. This will stimulate the economy and restore pride in America stripped away by Republicans.

Healthcare reform. Although I seriously doubt it will ever happen since the lobbying groups for the AMA, insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies, and hospitals dish out way to much cash.

Illegal immigration. But not 'addressing it' with the Senate Bill version of comprehensive reform. I want illegal immigration STOPPED and going forward immigration limited to protect our children's schools and our services.
