Usually the manufacturer's website will tell you. The specification might specify AGP, AGP 2x or AGP 4x/8x. Look for that, then visit http://www.newegg.com and look for bargans.

Good luck and Happy Computing!

Go into Accessories and lookin the Systems Information area, generally under the tabs is a Hardware section, this will tell you, if it is anything in the last 2-5 years, AGP or PCI-E is a common type, most of them will take up to and including 128 or 256 mg, depending on the slot voltage.

I am a MCSE and A+ tech, if you find the board type, then check the manufacturer's site, it will tell the capabilitys and type's of video card it will accept, for Vista you need at least a 128 mg card, but as they are reasonable now a 256 mg would run $65-80 US and is a better value.

RTM, or check the manufacturs website. If you crack open the case, AGP is long( like 3 1/2 in) and brown and doesn't usually have clips on the ends of it. Other than that it's probably PCI-X.
If you have ISA Or PCI don't bother updateing cuz your computer is too old to run anything.

On second thought, go to crucial.com and run the crucial scan it it will tell you automatically.

The fastest way would be to call your computer manufacturer or if you have a list of your specs look on that. It will tell you what kind of graphics card you have right now and you can go from there. good luck!

I am not sure but theres three things you can do

Firstly, check to check your system click start then run and then enter "dxdiag" and a box will come up and show all your system details.

Secondly, if your checking if a game would work on your pc this useful website will tell you if it can be handeled by your pc http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/

Lastly, if you would like to see if you can get an upgrade for anything on your pc check this website www.Crucial.com and download the system scanner.

Hope that helps
