I made a movie using Windows Movie Maker, I saved it, and i reviewed it, it's great. But now I want to burn it to a dvd to play on the tv. I don't know what to do, although I don't have a dvd burner, but my tech ed teacher said he doesn't think I need one. But, when I put it into the tv it says "playback feature not avalible". Can anyone help?

You need a dvd burner to burn DVD's... period.

Your only other option if you have CD burner is a VCD which your DVD player may or may not support. You can google it for more info.

First, even if you had the dvd burner, you couldn't use Movie maker to burn it, because it won't format things to DVDs, you have to buy a different program for that. There are ways that you can burn it onto a normal CD through Movie Maker, that will be playable through computers and some DVD players- but it has to be a nicer dvd player that reads different format- my $30 dvd player from walmart wouldn't work.
So... you probaby won't be able to watch it on t.v. for a while... sorry.

well you have to export it first then burn it which is not option on the windows movie maker any way i don't think the movie maker is so professional so i recommend the premier pro for home work I'm an editor and that my advice to you the windows movie maker is non professional so get the adobe premier pro and when you get it save it as a file then import it to the premiere then export it from the premier

Well you need a CD burner and a DVD-R CD so you can burn the movie to the DVD-R and be able to see it on your DVD.

you need a dvd rewriter to write dvds but you can make a VCD with a cd that plays in the dvd player but if that doesnt work you might want to concider buying a DVD rewriter itll save time and you'll fit much more on the disk ( plus its garanteed to play in the dvd player)

start up>All classes>abode windows movie Maker If it isn't there, open "MyComputer" Then "C:/" Then "software information" Then "abode windows movie Maker" Then click on "MOVIEMK" you would want to make a computer shortcut. in case you may't locate it there, you would no longer have it put in. you may obtain it from Microsoft's website.
