Put it up on eBay. It is worth as much as people are willing to pay. I paid $2 for a matched pair of AZ plates from 1969, and got a matched set of solid copper 1934 AZ plates for free. Plates that old in perfect condition can fetch a pretty good price, less so depending on how beat up they are, and less when there is only one. I am not sure if they came in pairs way back then, so that might not be an issue. Check with the ALPCA. Their website is:

E-bay will get you ripped off.

Go to a really good newstand or bookstore and get a copy of "Hemmings Motor News." It's the bible of the collector car hobby. It's in the Auto section. and is standard magazine size.

They should have a category called something like "Automobilia." which is all about stuff like plates, and ads, etc.
You're bound to find someone in the license plate business.

Be really honest about the condition whenever you talk to someone.

If I see the front i think of it relatively is somebody from right here (Michigan) with a California plate in front for adornment (very undemanding for some reason) on the grounds that we don't have front plates. no remember if that's a official California vehicle i think of wow what a protracted force

plates from the 60's in ohio go for $35.00 a set at car swap meets in the summer.
