The programme was aired about five years ago. It was about the lives of people living on a Northern council estate. the lead character was called Tracy, she had a few kids by different fathers, one was called Macauly. Her dad was a small time drug dealer who sold cannabis and lived in a superior council house. he was considered "clever" by the other residents. The main themes were shoplifting, drugs and other crime. Tracy's partner once stole a cow, I can't really remember why. Her son won a place at a grammar school but she didn't let him go as he would miss his friends.
If anyone can remember what this series was called I would be very grateful.

I kinda remeber this, she had longish blonde hair did she not, but I cant remember what its called either, I dont think I watched it all though cos you seem to rememeber more than me.
