The answer is simple. Education. Unfortunately hip-hop appeals to losers who think that hard work is for chumps. Ironically, the idiots who buy into that lie end up poor. Kids hear rappers pontificating the virtues of pimping, drug-dealing, gang banging, or some other morally vacant occupation. They listen to the glamorization of the easy lifestyle and wanna become like them. Of course, once you end up in jail from following a life of crime, who's the chump then?

Hip Hop sunk in a little deeper into our culture didn't it.I think it's stuck around for many reasons. It's sad that the musical output from these morons is nothing less than pathetic. It's a fashion show and an image parade. We are just that stupid. That rock-n-roll bad boy image is alive well and living in 50 Cent.

I hope it will eventually die out but I don't think it will very soon. I wasn't even alive when Disco was around but I'm sure a fresh new sound will be born and just like now and just like it's always been, some people will like it and others won't. But of course, we do hope for the best don't we?

i hope it's soon, but it has to end. i mean, how long can you talk about being a gangster, doing things with a girl, and being in a club? besides, hip hop has like no song to it. i don't know why people like it. it's an embarrassment to music!

Disco had no meaning other than dance. Hip-Hop is the sound of pounding revolution along with dance.
