It is not difficult. Prepare a broth boiling some pieces of meat
obviously withouth adding salt.
It is better if the meat is finely ground.
Let it boiling fon at least 3 or 4 hours, adding water to avoid to make a roast.
Let cool and take away the fat. The broth should be relatively consistent, like fluid cream.
Try to filter all the stuff with a cloth.
Pour it in small dish in a ventilated area NOT COVERING IT:
in three or four days you will see patches of bacteria and/or molds.
They should have various shades of color
These bacteria an molds are carried by the dust hovering in the air.
Good luck with your experiment.

Depends what bacterium as some have very specific needs! You can grow some bacteria in sugar water with nothing else added.
If it is a specific bacterium, however, that you are looking to culture then you can make a bacterial "broth" which is all of the nutrients needed for (sometimes a specific ) bacteria to grow. The difference is that a broth is in a soup rather than a jelly.
If it is a case of growing any bacteria then I would suggest that you leave a peice of fruit to rot, that way you'll get a whole host of different fungi and bacteria!

Whoa Nelly! ... I just opened the fridge and took a look at what's back there! AHHHHHH ! Sorry, I'm having some fun. Bacteria can grow in most places including you soap dish. If you use anti-bacterial, then you have resistant "bugs." . .

Clear flavorless jello from the supermarket will work, but you need to add various salts and nutrients to it.
This site will tell you what you need to know.
