last night i had a dream in which i was still with my ex, but when i got home( in the dream) i couldnt get her on the phone and she wasnt at her friends or familys places. In the dream i realised she was cheating on me and it hurt like hell. In the dream, there was also a fireplace in the bedroom which was burning. I was trying to figure a way to put it out or at least make it safe so it didnt set the place alight. I cant remeber much alse of the dream but i woke feeling very down and depressed. She did cheat on my at least once in real life but i forgave her. Thing was in the dream it hurt even more than real life. Can anyone explain dreams like this, and why the hell im dreaming of my ex after more than a year apart. I havnt even thought of her lately.

I think the fireplace represents your feelings for her, and you couldn't put it out, so you can't forget her. Maybe you should try contacting her again?

Otherwise it may be just a part of your life that left a great impression on you, that you cannot forget. Just move on with your regular life. There are many more girls to be loved out there.

It is very common for people to dream about ex-partners. Individuals that have been an important part of our lives continue to take up a part of our mind and heart. It is impossible to very dramatically shut the person out of thoughts and feelings. Just because the relationship ends does not mean that all is finished. As we go through relationships we learn and at times pick up "battle wounds." You will continue to dream about your ex-girlfriend until you "let go" of her on a very important level, or until you learned your lessons from that relationship. Either way, dreaming about your ex-romance does not predict future involvement. It may be wish-fulfillment, reliving memories, or working out old issues

Dreams are expressions of things that are going on currently in your life, not usually things that happen in the past. What is going on in your life today that you are worried/concerned about? The cheating that was going on in the dream or not being able to find someone in your dream is most likely a reflection of your feelings towards something going on in your life currently.

Thing like that happen. If you still have dreams like that its problably because deep down inside of you you never forgave her for cheating on you. but dont worry it happens to everyone.

i have bad dreams about my ex husband too..but...i think is that i have not forgave him for his evilness to me...and i resent him and probably will but i dont think about it every day..its just kinda something that sticks with you...you dream about things in your subconscious, like your fears, phobias, events you are worried about or thinking about a lot...i have very vivid dreams...
