its nice to be able to experience new environments in few countries that is totally different from where you are...
as a law- abiding person like you, there shouldn't be any problem living in singapore for a couple of years.
the inconvenience you are more likely to find:
1) singapore is a small country, so you may feel suffocated... houses are small, parks are small, furnitures are small, as compared to europe...on weekends, you may get bored since there are limited places to go, except to the entertainment scene.
2) local lingo: singlish... it maybe an ear- sore to you
3) different strokes for different folks: either you find singapore to be efficient, or 'controlled'
4) most singaporeans are money & posession focused
5) typically bad phone manners
OR:
1) Singapore is clean, safe, warm and welcoming.
2) so many races and religions live side by side in such harmony
3) its cleaner; basically all of Singapore is as clean as as the nicest areas of most cities
4) the quality of life; Singapore has got the beach, parks, vicinity to other asian destinations
5) FOOD! FOOD! FOOD!
there will always be some arrogant foreigners who enjoy raving about their deluded superiority, to put singapore down.

Singapore is fine for quick holidays, because it has a nice facade to everything. But behind the facade there is lots of rubbish.... Singapore can't be compared to Europe. First of all it lacks the culture. There is some Chinese culture - but mainly a peasant one, because almost all migrants from China who settled there were peasants or labourers. There is also a racism - anyone who's not Chinese will tell you that. This racism is very visible and directed mostly towards the Indians or Malay. The country is very controlled, one regime, with many ridiculous regulations and penalties - some even getting physical (linching!!!). So, it's not as modern as you may think. The Singaporeans think they're modern - but only in technology. That technology however can be easily copied or bought. Yet, their minds are set in 19th century with colonial style behaviour (maids etc).

Have you heard? The grass always seems to be greener on the other side. While most Singaporeans will migrate once they have the chance(and money), many Europeans like the idea of living in the tropics, maybe because they are so sick of the cold.
It all depends oh how you define paradise, shopping and food is good here. Security and cleanliness, check. Easy sex from the SPGs, check. Expats earn big money here, so, check. Sentosa, check. Pretty, slim girls all over the place, check. Upcoming casinos, check.
Yeah, I guess it does seem like a cool place to be.
As for convenience, not very much as compared to Europe. We have new laws here that ban smoking in certain public areas, like bus stops and maybe next year they MIGHT ban smoking in nightspots.

You obviously are Asian if you prefer a "life in S'pore" over Europe. But no S'pore is "fine" if you like spick n span city living - someone unflatteringly named the island state: "Disneyland with a death penalty." Perhaps that's the only inconvenience.
