my dr gave me advice on how to give him juice at 3 months. just do half juice half water. no more than 4 oz a day. i actually freeze it and use a nipple with little bumps on it and let him chew on it. he is teething. you can give juice but NOT citrus. lemons, oranges, that stuff.

I wouldn't think juice is a bad thing if you water it down just a little bit. If it helps with the stools, why not? I don't have any kids but have helped my sister and she gave them juice but watered it down. Apple, pear, and prune juice can make a child get the poops. I would ask your family doctor or a family member for help also just to be on the safe side.

I would recommend talking to your doctor about juice at such a young age. My youngest daughter was having hard stools as well but it started around 4-5 months and we were introducing solids so we would just mix in a little prunes with what we were feeding her.
If you were to give her some juice you could try adding a little bit to her bottle (mix it with the formula or breast milk) and see if that helps. I think we tried that with my oldest daughter when she was having trouble.
Hope this helps :-)

3 months is too young.
No juice till 6 months or unless your paediatrician says it's okay.
Remember that you have to water the juice down (something like 1 part water 1 part juice)
If you are breastfeeding then YOU must drink the prune juice and eat more fiber. This goes through the milk to the baby.

I usually didn't give my babies juice until they were about 5 to 6 months old. But I think it'll be ok for you, just give her a small amount and try diluting it a little with water.

No juice too young.
Boiled (cooled down) water, in a 1st stage beaker (one that if you tip it up the water will come out on its own)
are you feeding solids already ? if so, use boiled water to mix instead of milk.
If your not, talk to health visitor or Dr, she should not have hard stools if only on milk.

NO JUICE!
Her tummy can't even digest juice yet so no... do not give her juice. If her stools are hard it has something to do with what she is eating. Are you already giving her cereal. If you are stop right away. If not it could be her formula. If you try giving her any liquids try just giving her water.
If it continues to be an issue consult your pediatrician.
:o)
Take Care.

Just any fruit juice, making sure that it is 100% juice. And I would talk to the pediatrician before giving her juice since her age.

I'd say 3 months is a little young. My first had constipation problems on Similac Advance. We put the second on Good Start and haven't had a problem. Maybe she needs a formula change (under your doc's supervision)
