That is bizarre and silly ,
why would there be an objection to fine English team names like that ?
Unless may-hap the pub was in darkest Essex!
Funny lot they be around these parts !!
Pub quizzes are all a bit of fun and often raise funds for charities too!
Lol!
how about going as;
Sutton Hoo !
Felixto two
Broxsom Marauders !
The Beccles gang
( am i allowed to say --The Norfolk Broads ?)
LOL!

Don't know why you were kicked out as I have written and run quizzes professionally for the past 18 years and have seen virtually all the wierd and funny names that you can imagine including Cupid Stunts, Pheasant Pluckers etc which when you've had a drink or two can get difficult to pronounce! To me it always adds to the fun and enjoyment of the evening and causes merriment when I mispronounce team names during the course of the evening. So some quizmasters dod have a sense of humour, Adrian, from the Premier Quiz organistaion!

there was a team at our local called 'norfolk n chance' & one called 'piston knownowt' and others far less subtle but no-one objected.......
better luck with your next team name...or your next pub!
