Hi Ya
If you are tired or worried or dehydrated these things can cause dark circles. The blood veins under your eyes would show as red not dark.
If this is the actual tone of your skin You may be lacking iron in your blood or vitamins found in fruit and vegtable. If you can hold you hand on your heart and say you eat sensibly( plenty fruit veg and fibre such as whole grain) and drink lots of water each day. then there's nothing you can do except try cucmber over the eyes when relaxing and gently moisturise every night with a moisturising milk then cover lightly with a pale foundation not too heavy. If not then start to eat healthy and you will see a big change or more sleep.
Hope this helps.

I have super dark circles as well that just won't go away. Foundation and concealer didn't work at all, so I went to my dermatologist to ask her about it. She said that dark under eye circles are typically a symptom of something else, like an allergy to milk or wheat. If you can address the underlying issue you've got a better chance of reducing the problem, so it's worth talking to a doctor about it.
For a more general solution, my dermatologist also told me that dark circles are typically a result of two problems: (1) thin, delicate skin under the eye allows the blood vessels to show through and (2) blood pooling in those vessels. To treat the first, you need a product designed to thicken and brighten the skin under the eye. To treat the second problem, your best bet is a product with vitamin K, which helps to manage the blood clotting. I've yet to find any product that does both, so what I've found works well for me is to use two different under eye creams to treat these two problems. The double whammy has really made a difference. It doesn't fix it all together, but it makes it so that with a little concealer, I don't look like I just got punched.
For me, I first use Vita-K's Dark Circles treatment. As the name says, it's a vitamin K treatment. Available at most drug stores, it's a light gel that absorbs quickly and at $7 a pop (which lasts me about 3 months), it won't bankrupt you.
Second, I've been using L'Oreal's Revitalift. Again, it's not too expensive, but has a nice, thick creamy texture that makes the area feel hydrated. There are a lot of products out there designed to thicken and brighten the under eye area, so you could substitute anything that looks good.
For both products, I dot them on morning and night with my ring finger (the weakest finger), allowing me to apply it evenly without rubbing it all off. For me, regular application is key for maintaining reduced circles.
In the morning, after both of the creams, I apply a yellow tinted under eye concealler just one shade lighter than my skin tone. The yellow tint neutralizes the bluish cast to the skin, and a slightly lighter color couters the darkness without looking fake. If you're willing to shell out a little more, you can't beat Bobby Brown, available at most department stores, but Neutrogena make a fairly nice concealer cream with a built in brush applicator that you can pick up at any drug store.
To blend in the concealer, I dab it with my ring finger, the same way I apply the two creams. Then I dust it with powder, which both makes it look more natural and helps it to stay on all day.

Combat Dark Under Eye Circles
Treatment for Dark Under Eye Circles
Grated potatoes can lighten under-eye circles. Potatoes contain an enzyme called catecholase, which is used in cosmetics as a human skin lightener.
Run one spud through your food processor and stuff the raw mash into a piece of cheesecloth.
Apply to the area directly beneath your eye — don't let the potato juice come in contact with the eye itself — and leave for 15 to 20 minutes.

this is kind of expensive but Shiseido makes a great eye mask with retinal! it works wonders.
Also use a eye cream or just get circulation going around your eye. take your pointer finger and middle and lightly press in the corner of your eye and work all the way around. do it a few times. not too hard but give it some pressure! I used to use it when I gave people facials. it helps get the vessels going so the darkness is not just sitting there.
also try a yellow concealer and dab foundation over top of it. yellow shouldd combat the dark coloring.
all of them shoul help!

same exact problem!!
first off, do you sleep on your stomach?i do
that causes it.
also, try to get at least 15-30 minutes more of sleep.
when you wake up put naything cold such as teaspoons or cucumber on under eyes.
i know that you said concealer doesnt work but follow this.
it makes mine about 1/3 better:
dot concealer then gently rub in do not pull skin.
then put pressed powder over.
next curl lashes and apply mascara to get the focus off your under eyes.

I have heard over & over again, that wet tea bags, are the greatest way to get rid of dark rings around the eye's!! And I've heard this from professional skin people too!! So, give er' a try!! If your going to do this you may as well go all the way and buy some green tea bags, because they also have antioxidants in them which may bless you twice!! Cool hoh?!! Good luck, hey you've got me going, I think I'm going to try this for my swollen eyes, tonight, before I go to bed... that and the egg whites, for my facial, before my daughter goes on vacation with her big sister, I think we'll have a "Facial party" with her & her BFF!! Sounds like FUN to me!!! Smile!!!

Yeah, same here. Conceiler is crap. I payed $AUS15
for one and it did nothing. Get some more sleep to mimimise them and then try a very, heavy foundation (liquid). Also, see a beauty therapist they can help with things like that. My cuz is one and she is sooooo good at things like that. Trust them. They'll give you EXPERT advice. okay
