My fiancee and I are getting married in the UK but we plan to have a second ceremony/blessing in the Philippines (specifically Bacolod). The general idea is an evening do, buffet dinner for 100, karaoke/disco, and a photographer. Nothing too extravagant, just a simple celebration with friends.
What sort of price range are we looking at? A Filipino resident will be arranging it for us, but we need to budget for it.

Photographers are anywhere from 30k to 70k pesos that is around $900 to $1,700 US dollars and can be more
The bridal gown can be anywhere from renting one or have a designer to make it for 15k pesos upwards ($300 USdollars upwards) or you can have the whole entourage gowns and tux from $70kpesos and up ($3,500 US dollars and up)
The reception at Grand Palazzo Royal for first 100 persons is Php135,000.00 ($2,799 US dollars)
in excess per person 580.00 pesos
The flowers for bride and the whole entourage is 35k pesos and up ($900 and up)
Wedding Planner, I paid 50k pesos and we were supplied with 7 staff, they worked hard and made the wedding very smooth and very memorable
Butterflies and birds to be released while bride is walking down the isle is 6k pesos of butterflies and 6k pesos for birds which is a little over $100, the same with the 100 birds
Wine and champagne, I had magnums sent to Philippines via door to door service, they charge corkage of 500 pesos each which is about $10 dollars
Wedding in the Philippines are of big event, you can really be lost or get overwhelmed if you are not prepared. So be prepared and do a little homework. Overall, it is fun and very memorable

I'm only having 35 people at my wedding, and getting someone to volunteer for photography, music will be played from CD player and it is costing 10 grand. However, the housing of out-of-towners is costing about half of that. The cake is going to be small and I am making my own invitations. So I say total expect to spend at least 10 grand, just because there are so many people. Buffet idea is SMART, because you won't have to worry about per-plate price, which can get really pricey.
Good luck!! Remember that if you know someone who makes cakes, is a photographer, is a DJ, all of that can cut down the cost if you ask them if they would like to contribute that as their wedding gift :)

Be prepared to shell out some serious PESOS. Especially if some relative is arranging things. You will be expected to flaunt your wealth without complaint. They're going to have a good time with you. When a Filipina marries a foreigner/white guy, its like her family hit the lottery. Don't ever let her know how much money you really have. I know that sounds cold but thats the cold hard facts.

It doesn't really cost that much, I'm from Cebu and it's near bacolod. For the number of guest, it will take you around P200-300,000.00. Depends on the details for your wedding. email me if you need more help

My wedding was for 30 people and it cost 200 USD, 10,000 pesos. This included food, drinks, music, the decorated room, and the wedding cake.
