I'm planning a little trip up to the Minneapolis area this summer and found that Minnesota apparently has two zoos? There's the normal Minnesota Zoo and then there's the Como Park Zoo and Observatory. I'm just wondering if anyone has been to either of those and what they were like? If someone has visited both, if one was better than the other? Any info helpful, thanks!

I've been to both. The Minnesota Zoo is bigger with more exhibits, but the Como Zoo is free and still have a lot of animals for being free.

The Minnesota Zoo is larger and has more exhibits, a monorail, shark feeding and dolphin and bird shows. They also have a farm with farm animals.

The como zoo is free and has different animals than the Minnesota Zoo including giraffes and sealions. They also have a sparky the seal show.

I really think that you get more for your money at the Como Zoo but it's a personal preference (and I like the dolphins at the Minnesota zoo).

I have been to both of them numerous times since I live in Saint Paul. The MN Zoo is definitely larger and has more animals. I would recommend going there over the Como Zoo, but the Como Zoo is cheaper to get into (they ask that you make a donation instead of buying a ticket)

went to como zoo 2 months ago and just went to Minnesota zoo yesterday (went there twice). Absosultely I love Minnesota zoo - bigger, more exhibits and the 6 mile indoor TROPICS trail is my favorite there: the penguins and aquarium are my two favorite. For me, better to go to Minnesota zoo although I have to spend 18 dollars/person for adults for just getting in, but it's worth.
