Okay, I buy books a lot. I love books and can't stand when I get an Oprah's Book Club or Heather's Picks sticker on my books! Sometimes it isn't even a sticker...it is part of the cover! I hate this! It really drives me crazy. Don't get me wrong..I am glad both Oprah and Heather read and I don't have anything against them, but it really irks me that I can't buy a book anymore with the original cover. I can make up my own mind on whether I want to purchase a book, thank you very much! Most of the time, I purchase a book after reading it so I really don't require anyone else's opinion. Does this bug anyone else too?

I appreciate that the likes of Oprah brings classics to the masses however i agree taht i dont want it on my book cover. Most times i but a book because it is considered a classic and therefore is an important read, or because the story speaks to me, or a friend recommended it to me. I don't know why but having it be an Oprah book cheapens the expereince for me.
I guess i'm a culture snob :)
