when you are on contraceptive pills, how do you know when to take a pregnancy test, just to check if you are pregnant or if you think you are?

i read somewhere that a girl didnt realise she was pregnant for ages because the test was showing up negative because of something to do with her pill.

is this true?

If you are taking the pill properly you shouldn't be pregnant.

Tons of women get pregnant while on the pill. It's 98% effective if taken properly but there is the 2% chance.
If you think you are pregnant, go off the pill and go to the doctor for a blood test. While the pill will fool some home tests, it doesn't give you a false reading with a blood test.
Also, you should go around the time you would normally have your period.

You can still test for pregnancy while on the pill. Wait till after your missed period, just like you would normally. I know lots of folks that got preggers on the pill and their tests all came out accurate.

Pregnancy tests are expensive! Dont take one unless you suspect you are pregnant.Besides that if you think you are pregnant you should NOT be taking the pill!!!!!
