Or pen to be found? Did you try to remember it as best you could?
I'm an extremely creative person, but I have a REALLY bad memory. This always seems to happen to me...♥

Anything that can be written on, I do... I am a writer and toilet paper works temporarily as notes, just a bit fuzzy- so be sure to make copies somewhere else. Had notes with eyeliner once when I had an idea spring up out of nowhere.

This used to happen to me. Now I always carry a small notebook (smaller than my wallet) and a pen(this works best for me). Since I never know when inspiration may strike, I usually try to have some pencil and paper ready and jot down what I can, then write the whole of it later.
I tried the whole reliying on memory and that did not work too well. I also used a tape recorder, but I loaned it to a friend about a 2 years ago and I am sure that I will never see it again...

Always! I get my best ideas while I'm out running for cross country or track, and of course, it's kind of hard to run with a pen (don't need paper-I'll just write it on my arm if it's that important that I'll need to remember it), so I end up forgetting half my good ideas!

I have been almost asleep several times when words for a song come into my mind but I'm too tired to get up and write them down. By the next morning most of the words have been slept away.

Yes (I like to write). Yes. And my memory is getting worse all the time. I do carry a little notebook with me, but then I forget where I wrote the idea! ; )

I get a lot of my writing ideas from walking on the treadmill - it helps to clear my mind and I can remember them until I finally get time on the computer.

yes many times,
since i arrange music in my head i also
lyrically submit the words inside my mind ~
It can be a pain sometimes to remember
all the words ~ at least now i do not need
to worry about having a pencil or paper

I come up with a lot of song lyrics, but forget them before I have time to write them dowm.

yep that happens ll the time, i get a few poetic lines in my head, and bang! no pen, no paper. but my memory's not so bad.
