Since he was "to blame" for the high gas prices due to his "oil connections" (forgetting of course the huge Gore family holding in oil company BP) will Bush get kudos for bringing the price down to 2.18? Or is he only responsible for the price raises, while the market will get credit for the price decrease?

No, lotus blossom. It went down from a Bush high of over $3.00. When Thieving George came to power in 2000 gas was less than $2.00, gas prices are still too high.
Go check historic gas prices before we start talking about praise!

I'm a Democrat and never blamed him. I believed it was a supply/demand issue. In fact I was against opening up the strategic petroleum reserves. No he doesn't get any kudos because the price usually sinks in the winter (less demand for flying, air conditioning, long trips...), and before elections (I wonder why...).

Gas prices will stay around two dollars a gallon until we stop getting serious about developing alternative energy sources and demanding low mileage vehicles, then it will go right back up again.

i can definitely see how they can link him to the gas prices (sarcasm). Listen, whether or not you like Bush doesn't matter. Democrats and Republicans will always try to blame things on each other. Its called Dirty Politics.

Of course they won't give him credit. They will say something like, "It's cheaper now because he invaded Iraq to get their oil away from them without having to pay for it. It's making him millions." He will never do anything right in their eyes. If he pooped gold bricks, they would complain 'cause they wanted silver ones.

No, I doubt he will get credit because it was cheaper yet in Clinton's era.
