In the United Kingdom

www.visitscotland.com.

Abroad look at

www.tripadvisor.com

It's a site that ordinary people create from their experiences. For flights look at

www.skyscanner.net

or if you are in Scotland,

www.Flyglobespan.com

You can put a good package together your self. We loved CPO at Abufuira

www.petcheyleisure.com

Or if you like Greece, recommend the Hotel Apollon on Corfu. My Dad and Mum were there last year and loved it. Corfu Town is a cracking day out.

Try Egypt.

If you want culture then Luxor would be the best place as plenty of antiquities to view.

However, it may be a bit to hot for you by June. By that time of year the average temperature in Luxor would be over 40 degrees centigrade.

Much better to visit this region during the winter months (ie. November to March) when the temperature is only 25-30 degrees centigrade.

Thailand is cheap, full of culture and warm! Start in Bangkok do a tour of the Temples and the Floating Market, then head up North for the elephant rides and hiking if you like that, or go South to some of the islands. There are cheap island cruises too on very modern cruise boats. Greece is warm in June, you can go island hopping from Athens.

Some tips...

Barcelona (Catalunya), Spain. It's a very cultural city.

Other possibility, if you like museums, is Basle, Switzerland.

From Basel, you can visit Strasbourg (a 2 hour trip), or any other
Swiss city (Zurich, Geneva, Luzern, etc.) (1 hour trip).

Have you considered Amsterdam? (a little bit colder that the other cities mentioned above),

I agree with another poster who suggested Turkey. My husband is a Turk and I've not yet gone, so some of my suggestion is selfish...but! Turks are incredibly friendly people, the land around the Mediterraen coast is gorgeous and there's nothing better than Turkish food. So much history, culture, sun...can you pack me in your suitcase?
