-Been there, done that-
I sucked at skool- got my MS in Computer Science three years ago(BS in Mech. Engineering)

I sucked at sports- I run 2-3 Marathons per year -at my last HS Reunion, (my 25th) the captain of the BBall team must have weighed 350 lbs....

I sucked at guitar, too- I dropped it for many years about 4 years ago, my neighbor was having a garage sale, I bought the acoustic guitar he had laying aroung for $5- took it to the local shop, they lowered the action and put some strings on and made it playable. I learned a few songs, found a few people in my neighborhood who play, and we have jam sessions 2 or 3X a month now. I can pick up tunes by ear, I can improvise,,,

Granted, we're not all Einsteins, Peyton Mannings, or Eric Claptons. That being said, If you're studying, playing, and practicing, talk to someone who can maybe help- a guidance counselor at school could hook you up with some guidance on study habits and note-taking, one of the coached could give you some training tips in your sport, etc.
As far as music goes, it's like sports-it's a social activity-You aren't going to improve just by practicing. GET OUT THERE AND PLAY WITH PEOPLE!- Even if it isn't your favorite music. If you belong to a church, check out their contemporay worship group- it's a good way to get good fast, and since I'm assuming that you're in school, it's relatively wholesome(keeps the parents happy) Just use some common sense-if you're going to play at the First Fundamentalist Church of Eternal Damnation, don't go saying that you're a born-again atheist...

Just my 2 cents(or $20.00)

Good Luck!

Look, you need to find your thing. Just because you are bad at school, doesn't mean you aren't smart. You may not test well. As far as music. Don't practice too hard and get fustrated. Just stick with it. And sports aren't for everyone. I'm guessing you're at the high school level of sports, which is the worst because everyone seems a lot better than you.
