$20K a year in coverage? What is the deductible? What is the copay? This is a MAX of $20K?!?! That would be HORRIBLE insurance. Any semi-major event will blow through that in no time. The point of insurance is to cover the items you CAN'T afford. You can pay the first few thousand a year, the point of insurance is to cover the hundreds of thousands that pop up if you are in a major accident. No, this is not a good deal. I have never heard of a policy like this offered through an employer. who do you work for??? What insurance company is this? I would look at the other more traditional policies available to you. you can't disclose their name??? HUH? You watch too many spy movies. NO, this is NOT A GOOD PLAN. $200 a day for ICU??? You would be personally bankrupt after 2 or 3 days in ICU if that is all they covered. This is not a good plan. Of course you don't qualify for Medicare! You have a job! Do what you want. I would not do this. You have an existing health condition. I would get real insurance if I were you.

Oh yeah! That'd be a generous raise for me! People all over the world live on less than a dollar a day, so I'd certainly think $1050 a week ($150 a day) would be plenty!

I've managed to live on $150 a week while in college, so yeah, I think I could handle $1050 a week JUST fine. I only make about $1250 a MONTH now.

definitely. I get paid weekly, each check is anywhere from $280-$330, and I have an apartment and a baby, plus I was taking care of my boyfriend for the longest time, but he recently started a job, so yes, you can, I wish I made that much, lol!

There are plenty of people who live on that much a month.

To me that seems like a very high salary--over $50,000 a year. The only reason you might not be able to live on it is if housing costs in your area are extremely high. In most cases, though, it would be quite sufficient.
