the saints did not dissapoint anyone, this was thier best season ever.
it was bittersweet, but mostly sweet.
we were so proud and care about our team so much making it this far and setting so many records and making history this t=year was enough for us saints fans.
we will be back next year and many years to come.
katrina may have taken our trees; but we still have a bush and a brees.

If anyone is not proud of the Saints for what they accomplished this year then I can deduce two things about them 1) They are a reason that there is a growing lack of sportsmanship in the game 2) They do not know what success is.
Before the 2006-2007 season the Saints had won one, thats right one playoff game. Last year they won 3 games which is just one more than Oakland won this year. Could there season have bben even better???? Well, maybe ask Joe Horn's injury about that. Or maybe ask Deuce's SIX carries in their loss to DA BEARS.

I'm not really a fan of the Saints, but I have to say that everyone is proud for the Saints & the stellar year that they had. It was over a year ago that they were displaced after Hurricane Katrina & went on to a losing season that year. But thanks to Sean Payton & his guidance, they made great strides to a winning season all the way to the NFC Title Game. Though they lost to the Bears, I hope they will rebuild & continue to have success in the years to come. Congratulations on an excellant season your team had. Best of luck for the 2007 Season.

Not really. Everything was in place for them to be in the Super Bowl and they FAILED in the crunch as usual. Their schedule was such that they played practically all bad to mediocre teams, and when they played the good tems, the good teams fell on their faces and they were successful in winning a lot of games. They went to the playoffs with a week off [bye week] and won that game. When they arrived at Soldier Field, they lost all their air. Next year will NOT be any different, and I'll tell you why, although you may not want to hear it. Tom Benson believes in the piece meal approach in building a team. He will put all his eggs in one basket to get a player to shore up one, or two positions. Brees and Bush were EXCELLENT, but those two talented guys CANNOT do the work of the whole team. You have to have more talent out in the field than a handful of players. This is why they call football a TEAM sport.Unless Benson buys primo players for most of the field positions, you can continue to make excuses for the Saints, and keep repeating that , "wait till next year" mantra. It just doesn';t hold water, and it is getting to be old hat.I been hear the samo samo for over 40+ years.

Yes. We had a lot of good times and great moments this year. The Bears are an amazing team and their defense showed up.
First off, they won the dome return. that was great.
Then we stunned the football world and beat the eagles.
reggie scores his first td at the dome
and it is the game winner.
we beat the cowboys, no we thrashed the cowboys and stunned the football world yet again, plus i was forced to move to dallas cause of katrina so that was nice.
we locked up a bye.
we won the divisional round against the eagles.
That is a great year.
I will NEVER EVER give up, I still have hope that theyll get there won day, I've still got hope I will move back to NOLA in time to see it. The whole world doesnt have to cheer cause we still are. well done bears, but we'll be back.
WHO DAT SAY DEY GONNA BEAT DEM SAINTS?!?!

Im not a saints fan but I think the story is great...and anybody who isnt giddy with joy from the success this season is not a true fan because this is probably by far the best saints team ever and they seem to be holding together very well no rumblings in the locker room or anything...

Well i'm not a Saints fan but they had a great year. My team was out of the playoffs so I was pulling for the Saints. Look at the turn around they had. I think they only won 3or4 games last year. Good luck with your team next year as long as they are not playing the Broncos!!!

I think the Saint should be proud of themselves and i am proud of them. They had 3 wins last season, they had no home last season, they haven't gotten that far in the playoffs before, and it was a hard fought game and the Bears just played better (of course). I am proud of them. For those who aren't, not every cinderella story has a good ending, one team had to walk home as the loser yesterday.

The Saints look for real. They were not quite ready for the Bears, but I expect the Saints to be right back next year. They really improved in 2006.

You cannot be mad at them. You go from being the 2nd worst team in the NFL, to having the highest scoring offense and to the NFC championship. Reggie will have improved, Brees was good this year, Horn will recover. Next year will be a great year for Saints football.
