If you're looking for culture:

If you are going to be here on a first Friday of the month, and don't mind the cold, you can do the art tour of the downtown. Starts at around 7 or 8 and runs till 10. For information see the source page below.

If you are looking for some nice places to eat I recommend Fate for a late night - art culture place. (905 N. 4th St. Phoenix, AZ
85004 - SE corner of 4th St. and Roosevelt) It's downtown, and you need reservations (602-254-6424). Open late, nice selection of asian beer imports.

Looking for a more 'new' trendy look, but without sacrificing culture, try the My Florist Cafe (site below as all the contact/directional data). Great martinis, excellent wine list, outstanding breads and cheese (fresh baked next door at the Willow bakery), and good entrees. And never forget that Nicole plays exceptional music (and takes requests) at the big Steinway grand from 7:30-midnight.

If you are looking for more Jazz and R&B culture scene, check out the Rhythm Room (site below). They're known not just for their music, but also great BBQ (odd combo, I know).

Check out de-lux. Great atmosphere - good burgers without the "burger" stigma, it actually has culture. Culture with about 50 beers on tap! Link below has their site with numbers and location.

Also, if you're looking for other culture events check out the AZ Opera, AZ Ballet, Phx Symphony, and for a cheaper (but quality) event try the Hale Theatre. (Links are below)

Enjoy your trip ~
