I guess he wants me to overcome my faults which he knows I have because we sit next to each other, and I do have them because I've been through a very long and bad time in my life. He's married happily so it's not that he likes me and not getting a response. Maybe I'm getting too naive and it's just that he wants to hurt me, but I don't thing so because he's usually quite nice, except when expressing his idea of me, what do u think?thanks

My first impression is that he's threatened by you in some way. Maybe you are better at something than he is, or maybe he is attracted to you and doesn't want to admit it. Maybe the things he criticizes about you are things he is afraid of in himself, so he has to externalize them in order to deny he has them. That's my guess. I know it's hard not to, but I would really try hard not to take it personally. There's something going on with him that has very little to do with you. It would be interesting to figure out what it really is.
Good luck!

Avoid all social contacts with him if at all possible. That should help if not tell him to back off and quit the critizicing or take necessary steps.

It doesn't sound like he wants to hurt you on purpose, maybe a father figure!Tell him what you think about him, good or bad. Or tell him to shut - up.

I think he's threatened by you and wants to take you out of your job. Don't be intimidated by him. He just can't stand that there's someone working with him that's better than him at what they do. Don't pay no mind to him.

tell him that you don't appreciate his comments, report him to your supervisor, or ask your supervisor if you can move where you sit. you don't have to take that from anyone, much less a co-worker.

good luck!
