i get the same problem, luckily i work in a job where i dont have to be clean shaven every day. my advise is to try using a shave oil along with your shave gel, shave after a shower or bath, use good sharp razers and moisturise well with e45 or something similar. its alot of hassel but does work. best of luck

Aloe Vera will help with the discomfort. As for prevention, you may want to try changing to a shaving cream for sensitive skin or try changing styles of razors. Also a dull razor will create more irritation than a sharp one.
Just a few suggestions. Hope this helps!

Invest in an exfoliating face wash. This will give the razor a smoother surface to work on. Shave in the direction of your beard grain. Going against it can cause irritation. Change your razor blade often.
In order to sooth your current razor burn, use an over the counter pimple medication that contains benzoil peroxide.

Use a good pre shaving cream, use new razors and finish off with a nice after shave lotion. If you have bruises now dont shave until they are healed.

allow your beard to grow naturally. In this way you can look cool and less like a dik. sheeps, cows and the wind in the willows.
