Gondwanaland in the south and Laurasia in the north. Pangaea was not the first supercontinent. Rodinia was also a supercontinent hundreds of millions of years prior to Pangaea. In several hundred more millions of years the movement of the Earth's tectonic plates will once again create a single supercontinent.
