Wow, such a wide spectrum of answers I could give here...
If we are looking at a more 'perfect' beings than humans, then robots are not the answer as they would have been built by humans in the human image, thus making them completely imperfect.
I would say animals have the bigger say in these things, they were here before us, they have more right to the earth than us, they eat, drink and sleep when they want to - NOT when they are told to, and can't lie. In many ways, they are perfect.
They can choose, just because they don't voice their choices in a tongue that we mere humans can hear, doesn't mean they don't.

And what exactly do you mean by "cool"?
Do you think it means you "look" cool, go to cool places, have cool "tastes" and listen to cool music?
Or does it mean to you that you have knowledge, wisdom, compassion, that you love your family and friends and would do anything for them, that you wish you did something meaningfull in your life?
