The Wiki Link is a good one for general band information, I know I wrote most of it LOL. Electric Light Orchestra ''reformed'' in 2000 after a 14 year hiatus but in the guise of one man only Jeff Lynne (The Brains Behind the name) in 2001 they had a comeback album called ''ZOOM'' but no new albums since .There is a NEW ELO single called ''Latitude 88 North'' released 29th January this year 2007 here is a link to hear and watch the unofficial video on Youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bUIOHsWvwr8 and here isthe link to the Official ELO Website about the new releases and stuff
http://www.ftmusic.com/ I really hope this helps PS. BUY the new song it's Great!!

Although there has been no news on any forthcoming new projects by band supremo Jeff Lynne, he continues to remaster ELOs studio albums, the latest and last in the Epic/Legacy series is Out of the Blue and Balance of Power that are due for release in February 2007. A lost track from 1977s Out of the Blue sessions is to be released as a single on January 29th titled "Latitude 88 North".

They turned to stone...
Sorry, that wasn't sensible!
Jeff Lynne does a lot of production these days, and was one of The Travelling Wilburys with George Harrison, Tom Petty, Roy Orbison and Bob Dylan (2 great fun albums!)
ELO drummer Bev Bevan played with a reformation of fellow Brummies Black Sabbath for a while, but Ive no idea what he's up to now. Similarly, I can only assume that the violinists & cellists went back to the world of Classical music, as I've not heard of them since.
A comeback tour seems extremely unlikely.
Mr Blue Sky was the first single I bought, its on blue vinyl and I still have it!

I saw them in Brighton in the 90's when they were touring as ELO part 2 (i think thats what they were calling themselves!) No Jeff Lynne though.Think your gonna have to look for tribute bands now, although the other band members might get together again when there skint....

The first album I bought (yes it was vinyl) was Out Of The Blue!
I heard a new song just released by them on radio2 the other day though for the life of me I can't think what it's called so they are still going. As for if they are touring or gonna tour I wouldn't know.
Try the beeb pages they might help as they tend to list most of the upcomming tours and live music events going on.

Sorry to disappoint, but I don't think they are together any longer. Jeff Lynne was the most prominent member and is active doing smaller projects (movie scores, etc.).
