I am not pregnant, but when I do have a child and if it's a boy, I would like to name him Dane. What's a good middle name for that?

You might consider a multi-syllabic name, to balance out the shorter first name choice. And because Dane is not one of your more traditional names, you might want to choose something a little more mainstream for a middle name, thus giving your child the option to use either when he is grown. You might choose a family name (perhaps a last name from a generation or two back ~ "Dane Montgomery (last name)" or such ~ or a name with leadership connotations ~ "Dane Harrison (last name)" That way, he can be Dane with family and friends ~ but "D. Harrison (last name)" at the law firm. :-)

You do need to consider how the middle name sounds with the last name ~ and also be sure to check the initials ~ you don't want his initials to spell anything: Dane Oliver Thompson: DOT or Dane Isaac Peterson: DIP.
