Buddy Holly, because he was one of the Father's of Rock 'n Roll. I grew up listening to country western music on the radio and then as a teenager, here comes new music that was fun to dance to, etc. Richie Valens is a favorite, too, same reasons. I remember seeing them on American Bandstand. Especially, The Big Bopper singing "Chantilly Lace." Thanks for asking and taking me back to a more free time.

Buddy Holly and then Richie Valens. JP Richardson was less a musician than a dixc jockey (his profession) with a gimmick song. Holly's music has definately been the most enduring. It is still great today, and still covered today.
Richie Valens appeared to be well on his way to a string of # 1's too.
For Am I Incognito: Jerry Lee Lewis married his underage cousin. Buddy Holly did not.
