If you built a slingshot from rubber bands, how big would it have to be to send a rocket to the Moon? Tough one! (You can do it).

Dear Sir:

It is not possible to achieve EV using any type of known catapult,
rubber band or otherwise. EV = Escape Velocity.

The rubber band would vaporize moving through the air at such speeds.
