I'm from America but based up what my ex visited told me when she visited Italy and what I've read and seen on TV.

Italy has very good food, wine and many cultural tourist attractions.

Italians drive crazy and bump into each other's car on a regular basis.

People do not bathe as often in Europe.

Women do not shave their underarms as they do in the US .

People sometime use the street as a bathroom.

Men in Italy are very touchy feely and will pinch a woman if they are unaccompanied.

Venice is beautiful but smells very bad from sewage draining into it.

Italians are usually very friendly and hospitable to guests.

Italians are still pretty racist against blacks because of the early Moorist invasions and many women being taken and raped by the Moors.

Italian are predominantly Catholic and are very protective of their female family members.

That's about all I can think of. Some of this may be inaccurate of course based on media or not enough data points but you did ask. Kisses from the US.

They are fantastic! I study Italian and the staff at uni are from Rome and surrounding areas. Very fashion-conscious, and desperate to keep the bella figura! But a bunch of genuinely caring, funny and intelligent people.

They are always interested in us and our family life. One student (a mature student) had to bring her child to a lecture once, and the lecturer didn't mind at all, she was so attentive and enjoyed making the boy feel welcomed and part of the lesson. It was lovely.

And Italy is one of the most beautiful countries I have ever visited. The people are so kind and helpful towards tourists. And they have a great sense of humour. Even if you speak minimal Italian, they seem happy that you are trying! Can't wait to go back!!

The reason I think about Italian people and Italy because I'm also Italian and my Great, great, great, great ect. grand father was one of the kings of Italy. There is a street in Italy named after him. The street is "The Arduino St." or something close to that. But it's so cool because I'm half royal. :-)

Rome is cool. So are Italians. Sometimes you feel as though you are being taken for an idiot, but in such a cheeky, nice way that it's fun. Beautiful country and people.

I've never been to Italy but I think, from the pictures that I have seen, it is a beautiful place! People are basically the same wherever you go right? Good and bad!

I think Italy is a beautiful country and I would like to
visit it sometime, as for Italian people, People like
anyone else, both good and bad. I don't see anything
about Italian people that would separate them from
the human race than any other ethnic group.
